Bank Holiday American Tournament

We’ll be running a Bank Holiday Doubles Tournament on Monday 4th May, starting at 1pm at Stony Stratford Lawn Tennis Club. This will be a mixed doubles event, so please enter as a pair.
Format
8 teams (16 players)
2 groups of 4 teams
Each pair plays 3 round robin matches
Group matches:
Matches consist of 8 games in total
Team with the most games wins
Sudden death at deuce (no-ad scoring)
If tied 4–4, a deciding game will be played (sudden death)
Knockout stage:
Top 2 teams from each group progress to semi-finals
Semi-finals and final played as a championship tie-break (first to 10 points)
Sudden death at 9–9
Entry
Enter as a mixed doubles pair
Open to all - club night standards. Intended to be a fun, social competition
If oversubscribed, a short reserve list will be kept
On the day
New balls will be provided
Bar will be open ??

On a separate note (I forgot to add to the G3 message earlier this week), there are once used tins of tournament balls for sale for £2 per tin. Speak to a committee member, Paul Griffiths, or by arrangement. Loads of stock.
