Bright ideas for tennis

First Happy New Year to all our members. I hope you are ready for a new year of tennis and are enjoying the Dome whilst the frost is on the ground. More news will undoubtedly follow as we get into January, but I wanted to let you know of an opportunity for members who might be buddy coaches.

I am delighted to write of a new initiative which SSLTC have been selected to host in partnership with the tennis charity Bright Ideas for Tennis, entitled ‘I Play 30.’ https://brightideasfortennis.org/iplay30/

We are going to work with the Redway School to provide a coach to deliver sessions for the children with any form of disability.

Former British Davis Cup player, and manager of Bright Ideas for Tennis, Danny Sapsford is leading the campaign, entitled ‘I play 30’ and we are extremely excited to have been invited to help.

Before any coaches can go into the school, there will be training at the club on Thursday 5th February from 12.00-15.00 led by Danny Sapsford or Mark Bullock / Stuart Wilkinson who both have over 25 years of experience within disability sport. The training is not only for coaches but extended to anyone else who is interested in working with people with disabilities and helping them through tennis.

Please could you kindly click the linke to register for the training, which is free of charge. https://forms.gle/A9z2TdBuRwuxnMAS7

Should you have any questions please email office@teamstonytennis.com.

I hope that many of you can enjoy this practical training session.
