American Tournament and Festival - Saturday 12th July

There are a couple of spaces available for the American tournament this Saturday 12th at 12.45pm, as there have been a few withdrawals due to injury. First come, first served, open to all club members, weekday and full. This is a fun social event, always popular and a good chance to mix in with other like minded members. No doubt the television will be on so you can keep up to date with the Ladies Finals at Wimbledon.

For those playing, allow plenty of time to find parking as the cricket club has a beer festival, the area is likely to be busier than normal.

Bottled water, new tournament balls and two trophies are provided. A nominal £1 cash entry fee is requested. Competitors are asked to bring some snacks or drinks to share. The bar may be open to offer further snack and drink options.

And a reminder to all, that it is the Cricket Club Beer and Prosecco Festival Friday evening 11th to Sunday 13th July. Repeating last year's success the cricket club will be running their festival throughout the weekend with over 50 real ales, Prosecco, a variety of food vans and live music. The tennis club have sponsored a barrel of beer again, so look out for that in the programme. Free entry, with tokens for drink and food available at the cricket club on the day. This is a fabulous party atmosphere, a great family event, and always very popular in Stony for meeting friends and neighbours.
